Production Blog- Final Days of Filming

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today is about the last few sessions of filming which brings us one step closer to the final polished music video. I spent the second part of my week filming the last remaining scenes. Those scenes were, the intro scene, the patio scene, the car scene, the friends house scene, the drying off scene, the sidewalk scene and the last two garage scenes. I filmed around two scenes per day this week to save time for editing when I had the chance. Starting with intro and patio scene, I needed peak daylight hours for these clips. So I waited until around 1pm before I started filming. I had my partner come over for the filming as they are needed in the first scene. Once they came I set up a tripod and filmed the scene in my room with good natural lighting from the window, and the prop camera I needed to include in the scene. Once that was done with I set up the scene for the patio scene and asked my partner to hold the camera while I was being filmed, that was the first day of filming. On the second day I filmed the car scene and the friends house scene. These were relatively easy because they only took a few seconds of time to do because they are relatively short scenes in this music video. The car scene only required the setting to be nighttime so I waited until 9pm and then acted out the scene with my partner filming me. For the house scene all it involved was me acting confused while my partner followed me around while filming. To make this scene flow as smooth as possible I had my partner use a stabilizer with the camera while filming to make sure the footage was appealing. For the last two days of filming I filmed the drying off scene, the sidewalk scene and the two garage scenes. For the sidewalk scene I filmed at around 1pm to get good lighting, and for the drying off scene I had to borrow my friends bathroom which was big enough to film in without accidently catching ourselves in the mirror. For the last two scenes I filmed late at night in an abandoned garage next to my partners house. These scenes were easy and only required a tripod for one of the clips, and my partner filmed for the rest. That is all the filming for this project wrapped up now, and all the time I have for today! See you all next time!

 It was a pleasure, goodbye.
