Production Blog- Rain Rain Go Away

Hello everyone, and welcome back to the blog! These past two weeks just haven't been the most fortunate weeks weather -wise. It has continued to pour rain almost everyday here in Florida, and when it hasn't rained it has been foggy like crazy. This weather not only doesn't match the set for the scenes we are filming but it also ruins the quality of the video that our cameras can capture. It makes the footage grainy and unfocused. Because of this I have decided to further push our filling schedule to this coming weekend as the weather is predicted to be sunny and clear. So in the meantime I am going to further work on the prep for this project as it’s all I can do at the moment. Last week I spent my time set scouting and tweaking the storyboard. This week I spent my time finishing up the costume choices for the video, picking the actors for the music video, and deciding on the gear that is going to be used to film. On Monday I sent my time going over the final wardrobe for the main character. I decided on long pants and a T-shirt as well and some beaten up shoes. I also made the decision of keeping the costume for the main character the same throughout the entirety of the film to achieve the message that the character is stopping at nothing to find their friend, not even to change clothes. This will also portray a visual struggle for the audience as they witness someone suffering at their loss and trying to fix it. Tuesday through Wednesday I spent the time picking the actors I wanted to play the main character and the friend they are searching for. I decided that I wanted me and my partner to play the roles ourselves as only once are the characters on screen together so it allows us to  for the majority of the time to both act and film. This gives me more control over the filming process which is nicer for achieving the exact results I am looking for. And I spent the remainder of my week picking out all the gear I wanted to haul with me to film. Most of the filming is going to be outdoors so lighting is not my biggest worry, for scenes that need it I am bringing a portable white light and reflector to enhance lighting. I am going to film strictly on a iPhone camera, their lenses are almost as good as thousand dollar cameras anyways. I am also hauling a tripod with me along with a stabilizer and a mini drone to achieve the birds eye views I need. But other than that I am ready to film as soon as the weather clears. That is all the time I have today everyone, thank you for reading.

 It was a pleasure, goodbye.
