Hello everyone! Welcome back to this weeks blog! This blog is going to be focused on the continuation of my learning process for the after affects software. Last blog I left off with a week long session of trying to learn how to work After Effects. It did not go exactly as planned or as I hoped so I decided to put the title design on hold for now. In place of the title project I decided I would spend some time learning how to edit a fake emergency broadcast for the intro sequence. I figured that if I edited the broadcast in post it would be easier to control than to do it with practical effects. So I spent three to four days on sites like YouTube learning everything I could on how to make an authentic emergency broadcast. After feeling particularly confident in understanding the new software I went to work on the broadcast. The broadcast took around three solid days to be completed and polished for use in the final draft. I was really happy...
Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog! This blog is going to be focused entirely on the process of making the actual commercial. Starting with the first scene of the story board I drove to a state park here in Florida in order to get the woodsy vibe and scenery that I am trying to achieve in my establishing shot. But as Floridian weather does whatever it wants, it started to pour before I even reached the park. I wasn't going to further test my luck by waiting out the wet weather as it could easily go on for days here. So I instead decided that I would start compiling my already captured pictures and videos and have them ready. I started downloading all the pre recorded clips and pictures from my camera on to my computer so I could start editing when ready. I then imported all the ready to go pictures an videos onto Adobe premiere pro. I also got started on getting the music I wanted to use in the commercial. I had already bought both songs I want to used so it was just a matte...
Hello everybody! Welcome back to this weeks blog! This blog is going to be focused entirely on the process of redoing a huge chunk of the footage from last week. Last week after checking my footage I discovered two problems. One of these problems was that majority of the last scenes footage was blurry, unfocused and hazy. The lenses must not have been as clean as I assumed even after I cleaned them completely. The second problem was that I decided I didn't like the wardrobe I picked for one of the characters. I thought to myself that what the character of Alfred was wearing was not fitting the theme of the genre was much as I hoped. It was too formal of a wardrobe for a horror style film and it didn't sit right with me. So I went right back to the drawing board to figure out a plan to fix these two dilemmas. I spent the first few days trying to figure out a new costume for Alfred that fit the theme. After a decent amount of thinking I decided on something I thought was loads b...
