Planning for my Music Video

Props- The props planned to be used are; a car, a instant film Polaroid camera, and some household objects like a book and pencil.  

Location- The shooting locations that have been decided on for the music video are, the Lauderdale beach, each of our own homes, Birch State Park, and Holiday Park.

Schedule- Since both me and my partner are busy with sports and schoolwork, we have agreed to meet every Saturday starting this October 14th until the day the music video is to be submitted. As well as meeting every Thursday starting the 12th until the due date. This way we maximize the time we have available to not only produce a high-quality music video but also tweak and perfect anything we see.  

Backup plan- The song of choice was Viva la Vida by Coldplay, if the song is found to not meet the vibe or style, we are trying to achieve with this music video then as a backup the song, Mr. Brightside by the Killers will be used. The story or costumes or anything else, however, will not be changed as they fit with the story selected very well and only the choice of song has potential to be swapped out.  

Costumes- Regular clothes will be worn throughout the shooting of the music video. The setting is played out in modern times, and nothing is out of the ordinary for clothes so normal streetwear is going to be used. The two main characters will wear jeans or another sort of pants and a T-shirt so as to not overheat in Florida as it is a safety concern.

Production Blog- First Successes

 Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Todays topic is about the first few sessions of filming for the music video. The Florida weather finally cleared up and was sunny for the first time in a while. I took this opportunity of good weather to start the filming process for a few scenes. The scenes I wanted to get finished up where the, forest  scene, the beach scene and the open field  scene. I planned to film these three scenes throughout the course of two days. For the beach scene I needed to catch the sunrise to make the scene more pleasing to the eyes. So I needed to be up at at the beach at around 7:00 in the morning to film. I spent the first day filming on the beach and got all the clips I needed for the scene. All I brought with me was a tripod and the costume I chose for the film session.
